vaccines

What brand 5-way and 7-way shots do most of you use on your puppies? Have a new litter of 8 (4 males,4 females) that will need shots in 2 weeks. I used to use Ft. Dodge Duramune Max but I see they are made by a different company now. Thanks.

Wcbeagle, I use vanguard Plus, I recommend you use a high -titer vaccine. Be sure to space them about three weeks apart.

I use Durvet® Canine Spectra 5™, Single Dose with Syringe with good results. I get them from Tractor Supply and are cheaper than most places that sell shots. At least here in SC they are.
This is my shot schedule:
• First shot - 6 to 7 weeks of age
• Second shot - 9 weeks of age
• Third shot - 12 weeks of age
• Fourth shot - 16 weeks of age
• Yearly from there on in
Stlnifr the Silent Hunter.

Thanks for the replies. Hard to believe only 2 people on the board give their own shots and could respond. Ole Mule same shot schedule as I use.

Why give shots yearly if given properly as recommended 3 times?

You get your kids immunizations again as an adult?

Just asking.

First shot twelve weeks. Last shot twelve weeks.
That works for me. I haven't had a case of Parvo in more than twenty years.

I just had a litter of 8 as well, you'll save money if you buy them by the 25. Here is the site I used - http://www.drsfostersmith.com/
