Just a heads up for everyone that there a some proposals on the ballot in michigan to be voted on in november. These can effect the wolf hunting in michigan which could have them taken off as a game species and not be allowed to hunt. They have already said no hunt this fall so it can only get worse unless we all vote to allow to allow it to continue . There have been negative ad's on T.V. So make sure we all vote.

The wording in proposal is confusing. You want to vote yes for both. 1 and 2. These proposals are only on the ballot for future ammunition to use by HSUS if they can present a case in court. The current proposal has no bearing on future wolf hunts in michigan unless HSUS takes the matter to court and wins. The wolf hunting is current in the hands of the Michigan NRC. Please use a yes vote on proposal 1 and 2 to get the proper outcome of keeping the control in the hands of the NRC not HSUS.
Re: Michgan hunters wolves on ballot for november
It was my understanding that the recent legislation just passed in September pre-empts any of the ballot proposals on this wolf hunt thing this fall. The reason that the wolf hunt was cancelled this season was because of the passage of this binding legislation which removes the possibility of a hunt until the legislation takes effect in the spring of 2015. Still vote, but obviously figuring out the language as to which to vote for is important. More importantly don't stop banging the drum about wolves being a problem. The Natural Resources Commission has been granted the authority to manage wolves as a game species, but they need to hear that WE WANT them to do so in order for them to make the right decision.
Save a beagle, shoot a wolf.

You are correct but these ballot proposals are for future ammunition for the HSUS. Currently the NRC has the power to control the wolf problem. We do not want that in the hands of tree hugging judges and voters. Vote yes on 1 and 2 to protect our future wolf hunts. A no vote puts the ball in HSUS court we don't want that in a court hearing

Yes on 1 and 2. I'll spread the word.

Definite vote yes. We gundog hunters need to think about uniting animal rights lobbyists are extremely powerful in Lansing. If it was up to them there would be no rabbit dogs no bird dogs no coonhound .
Re: Michgan hunters wolves on ballot for november
We need all the yes votes we can get, it will help the over all perception that the wolf hunt is good and necessary. And will send the message to HSUS that Michigan is not the place to practice their twisted policy's
