---Squirrel hunt to remember with Modock Kennels---

Post by johns03272008 »

Glad to have Steve Mullens and 2 of his buddies come up for a squirrel hunt today, I got to take my son on his first squirrel hunt ever and my other buddy on his first hunt ever and can say this, they are both spoiled now!!! Thanks again Steve for coming up and spending the day chasing squirrels!!!! Dog pictured is Reserve World Champion Jammin Jessie and she did more than keep her status as a champion!!! 23 squirrels killed out of 30 trees had several squirrels that hit the holes as we walked up or would have had more!!! Couldn't have asked for a better day in the woods!!! Don't know why pics got cut off

Wow! Nice pictures; good looking dog. Must be a lot of fox squirrels in your area. We have mostly grey squirrels in our woods. I've been having a blast hunting with my Dad this season using mountain feists.

ya only seen a handful of greys around my area, this was my first squirrel hunt with a dog and it was a blast, what was most joyful for me was my son having fun and my buddy getting his first kill ever!!!

Yeah I think ole Steve could take a poodle and make it a champion...definitely a great houndsman no matter the dog.

What breed dog that is. She looks like a sweet heart! I just moved from North Vernon IN to Michigan. I would have loved to meet and see squirrel dogs in action. Do you have pups available occasionally?
