I have tried a few different times, I don't think the sound quality is that great and the fact that you cant zoom. Better money spent on a sony handycam.
Here is the best clip I have ever managed with the GoPro, tried several times before and after to get another and it just hasn't happened yet. You can hear that the sound quality is not that great.
GoPro clip is at the very end of this video.

I video the dogs all the time. Own a go pro with all the extras and never use it. BUDD n I both have one and when we run together they normally never come out. Not too impressed and just use my handy cam.

I don't have a GoPro but I do have a Tachyon Camera. I have it mounted to the barrel of my shotgun. works pretty good. The Tachyon is a very good quality, the military use them and a lot of swat teams. Has great picture and sound. The cost is about 200.00

Are they water proof? I believe the reason the sound quality is not the greatest on the GoPro is because I keep the weatherproof case on it. First time I watched a clip of myself shooting a rabbit with the camera mounted on the gun I could barely hear the shot, had to watch it a couple times before I heard it.
