SB361 (indiana) is a bill that would ban high fence deer hunting in indiana. i have heard all the reasons it should be banned, and mostly its emotional hype and undocumented rumors. and yet thats not what scares me so much.
folks this piece of legislation, if passed, could easily be expanded to include all types of running pens including beagle running pens. it not only serves to divide the hunting/fishing community,but serves to bolster the position of the anti hunters. you can bet that peta is putting bucks into getting high fence hunting banned, and they will use it as a spring board to outlaw every type of hunting fishing they can... even fishing in ponds could be defined as penned fishing. its always been my belief that no matter what the sportsmans interest is , its all of our duties to protect it... one day it could be our beagling and whose going to stand with us if weve turned our backs on them.... if you think banning hunting is far fetched, look at bob kanes post on the legislative board....what are your thoughts..?
