Ant, I use the 4# bricks . I use the bracket made for the 4# bricks and atatch it too the base of a tree near thick cover. It leeches out from the tree over time, and seems to be more favorable to the rabbits than big chunks. But if you don't keep it in the cover, deer will paw the area and make a water hole. I use the mineral -- apple type slat blocks.

use of salt
Has anyone ever used salt pelletts? Happened to see these at the wal-mart the other day for water treatment. Thought if they worked it would be easier to spread out in the honeysuckles and fence-lines. Anyone have any experience with it?

use of salt
Hey Ant....have heard of guys soaking pine boards in a salt brine and after they've been thouroghly soaked nail them to bottom of fence post and the rabbit chews on the board for the salt. Just an idea.
Salt blocks
I have the 4 lb. blocks. i took my battery powerd saw, and cut them in
5 peices and drilled a hole in the ends. I use electrical ties to attach to
tree limbs close to ground or underbrush, in areas where there has been
lots of rabbit tracks or were I run.
