Registrations???

Post by Tri-Power »

I have a friend that has a grade 13" male beagle that is a REAL rabbit dog. He was running his own rabbit at 5 mo. of age. We've ran him against several bragged up dogs and he is ALWAYS out front and comes out of the check first ,90% of the time with the line. It is a shame that this dog is not a papered rabbit dog for which he qualifies for more than most. Are there any registrations that will accept this kind of dog????The guy we ran with yesterday that had a winning trial dog for sale tried to buy this dog and made an offer. He only offered enough money for two front row seats to watch this dog run. This dog is NOT for sale unless you have a deed to a piece of property. What registries ????

i think can register ukc . i dont know about others. you should register everywhere you can , trial him a little. show them what a grade dog can do. do you know what his breeding is.? best dog i ever had was grade but only cause papers were lost . owner died. i used to say he was just barnyard breeding . he turned out to be a reproducer and i wished id put more effort into getting his papers in order. i have a great grandson to him now. still no papers. you told me he was a REAL rabbit dog , i dont think a dog can earn a higher title than that with or without papers. pete

Registration

Post by mybeagles »

You should be able to register him in UKC and AHRA as long as he is full beagle. Just attend a local trial for either registry and you can register them for I believe $20, you can even run the same day. A breed inspector will examine the dog, and take 2 pictures to send in. Your papers will come a couple weeks later in the mail. I did this with an AKC registered beagle, so I could run in UKC. They dont look at the dogs close enough to worry! Good luck!

:D You can sure register this dog with both UKC and ARHA/NKC. Both have feild trials all over the USA! I belong and hunt in progressive pack ARHA/NKC. You must have a breed inspector inspect the hound to be sure he will pass the standards of a beagle. It cost 15$ to register in NKC and you will have to join the club to take part in the hunt. Go to arha.com to check it out.

Grandad

Post by Tri-Power »

The grandad of this superior grade dog is Junction Hill Ship who is dead, and some other barn yard breeding. I hear a lot of good about this Skip dog to never see it mentioned here on the boards. Does anyone have any info on the dog. We'll be attending some trials this season to run this dog and fetch some papers along with some wins.
