Hills Shakerag Kennel

Post by GutShot05 »

Does anyone know of this kennel out of Tennessee? Apparently, they have over a dozen champs and great bloodlines. Can anyone give me any info on them?

Bev, I was directed to you for the fact that another forum said you would have some answers.

Whoops, sorry. I don't think you used the name Bev over there...If you did, I just didn't pay attention. Well, thanks for your reply. It was quite helpful. And the bump, was to move it back up to the top of the forum to see if anyone had anything else to add. Thanks again! Does anyone here know anything about this kennel that could be added to my research?

Apparently, I've slimmed it down to them and a branko dog....but these dogs sound real good.

Hounds from the Branko line vary in speed and line. As with any circumstance, I'd say go watch them run - both the Hills' dogs and some of the Branko lines. A hound that came down through Branko's Lumberjack may run quite differently than a hound that came down through Branko's Heli-Prop, etc. Don't rule out looking for a hound out of a super-producing bitch, too. Good luck!

That's my problem. If I'm going to get a pup, I'm driving way too far to leave without one if I don't like the way they run, no matter which breeder I choose.
