Great pictures! The batting swing and formation in the picture is great! As a little league coach myself, I can say that not many kids ever grasp the concept of "plant feet, pitchers leg, hands in tunnel, eyes to point of contact and crash the bat!" The back leg form with shoestrings toward the pitcher is even there... My son is only seven, but he has this form imprinted. How did you encourage your son to excell with the sport? Practice time at home, private developmental training, or combo of both? I fear that I push my son to hard at times, but I just want him to "give his all in all he gives". Your son sounds like the dedicated player that all coaches seek to have on a team. Way to go dad with your involvement in your son's life. Not all kids are so privileged. Tell your son congrats and to stay focused with the game, the future is promising. Keep us posted, I truly enjoyed the post!!!!

Swing, a fine young man to be proud of! The hours you spend with him are obvious! You know, with that much coordination now, when he gets a little older, his shooting eye will be phenomenal. I would teach him to retrieve all the rabbits he AND you shoot! Keep him playing and screen the calls from all the little girls! Tell him that all that talent comes from a wonderful God and to build on it every day. You guys are special, and sadly, in the minority. My son plays in a 7-8 yr old league (coach pitch) and I have to (am glad to) pitch for both because there are so few dads interested. You, by all definitions are a DAD! Anyone with a sperm count can father but it takes love and time well spent to be a dad. Never discount that, and God with you both.
