 , no Hare, not you... Everytime I turned around you were gone off in the woods somewhere checking the hounds. I couldn't keep up with you to do any talking...
Sure missed hunting with you this year though... :(

LOL.... J Rooster,
There is one thing for sure, anyone would understand that one. I had to laugh at that one..... brings back memories about my son who is grown now, when he was six and we were deer hunting I told him if he didn't stop talking I was going to send him to the truck for the next 4 hours. I never had another problem with him the rest of our hunting years. dboman

Patch, I do like to get in there and see what hounds are doing what. Besides if your hound did something great and you never saw it I can claim it was mine. LOL Hare

My boy still has the patches you gave him, he thinks alot of you for that kind jesture. He took 6 weeks off work and backpacked through all the national parks out west, came back about 20lb lighter and stout. He loves being in the woods, so there's hope yet... ;)

About twenty years ago I was rabbit hunting with my brother in law and his father. I doubt his dad had ever rabbit hunted with hounds before. The father was quite a talker, and as the dogs rounded the bend and started back, just at the point that I estimated the rabbit should almost be in sight, he would blurt out, "Roy them suckers are really pounding that rabbit". The dogs would come within about hundred feet from us, have a short check, and head back in the opposite direction. A few minutes later the situation repeated it self. On the third circle, as the dogs started coming back I said "Park, stay right here and and I'll be right back". I walked out into the woods about a hundred yards and stopped. Within about a minute I heard the bunny coming through the leaves. His luck ran out.

When I go hunting with my buddies I enjoy a little conversation about the running. But I wouldn't really enjoy it if they were loud and messed up the rabbits running pattern.I also enjoy meeting new people and watching other dogs run.I have hooked up with some guys and all you here about is there dogs and how well there running. You know the type, there dogs are great and yours are well, alright.

I have some good hunting partners. One is like you described, so when we run together the other partner sets on the tailgate and talks and I go chase the dogs.
To old to cut the mustard, you can always run beagles
