Gun Dogs?
Moderators: Pike Ridge Beagles, Aaron Bartlett
Personally I like an upper medium speed hound, but Ive seen some pretty fast hounds that good flat bringem to the gun. He or she has to hunt like it aint eat in a month of Sundays, It has to have the ability to learn to handle as far as Nose well I like one to keep it's mouth shut till the furs a flyin. Granted there all gonna pop every once in a while. I mean even you're best gundogs are gonna make mistakes but for the most part be true. When I say hunt I mean I like a dog to really grubb for a rabbit not go Jump one 100 yards from me. When my dogs Jump a rabbit I want to be able to stand were I'm at or at least pretty close, click the safety off, whatch for old bunny and listen to the dogs Drive. Man it just dont get much better. Well all this talk has got me itching to hear a good race so I think I'm gonna go run a little while.

If you don't breed for hunt sell you're beagles and buy a POODLE AND SOME PERFUME! GUN DOG'S that's all that matters. The rest will fall in place.

A dog that will consistently jump and circle rabbits..... that plain and simple.
