JHough, DRS gave you the best advice for saving your reputation. Buy him and put him down, or keep him from now on. Too bad it's a $250.00 lesson, we all live and learn. My advice for any young or new beaglers is to never ever give a health problem away, even without papers. Sorry for my opinion.

It is a disgrace to imply that these people are in the wrong. I agree they should have put the dog down, but in their defense, they were only trying to help someone get a running dog that had no money to buy one. I don't really see where they did one thing wrong as they ask the man to neuter the dog, and he apparently promised to do this, and to keep the dog for his own personal running dog. In my opinion they were only acting as good Samaritans.

JHough,
Let it go. It is not the end of the world and your reputation has not been hurt over that one beagle. If you or I and certain other gentlemen on this board are not that important that dog certainly isn't that important. Lesson learned! ;) Wayne
The truth will set you free.
