James, God luv ya, I wouldn't know where to tell you to start. No offense to any postal employees, but your employer is KING of Pass the Buck. If even one person in Tenn got their May issue, then Memphis doesn't have them. Where's the next stop if they aren't in Memphis? If I don't hear from some Tennesseans after the phone call tomorrow, I will re-mail. There are articles that are in series and besides, that's why I have a few extra printed every month - in case stuff like this happens.

I find out new stuff every day. Aaron, Brian, I found out your magazine goes from Indianapolis to Cincinnati (they all go there first because Cincy is the presort hub for this region), and for some reason, they feel like it needs to go through St. Louis first before going on to Ilinois. It's a wonder y'all get yours at all.

If you figure in some of the more rural routes, if they have to make 3 or 4 stops on the way to the carrier, and each of those stops holds them for 2-3 days.....

In any event, I'm a woman determined and I still have a couple of cards I haven't played yet. If they don't work, I'll bite the bullet and go Periodical. It's not that much more month to month, but getting it approved and starting up is a pain in the neck and somewhat expensive. Growing pains - Ah!!! Good kind to have I guess.

Originally, The American Beagler was only going to be a newsletter I could staple together myself and send off with a stamp. Now look what I've gone and done, lol!

James, thanks for the help! If you find anything out let me know and I'll do the same.

May issue

Post by roygu »

I received the June issue today but the May issue is still in Memphis. (I'm in Morristown, TN.)
Haven't given up hope. Maybe the Postal Service could give you a Bi-monthly rate here in Tennessee, since they're only delivered six time a year. :D

Just to let you know, I haven't forgotten about your May issue in Tenn. I've got three folks working on it to see that it doesn't happen again and I'll re-mail anyone who didn't get one. I have found out this so far; Tennessee has 2 BMC's (Bulk Mail Centers) Memphis and Atlanta, GA. The following zip codes are serviced by Atlanta; 373, 377, 378, 379. All others go thru Memphis. Since the entire state is affected, we have to back up one stop.

I will be applying for Periodical rate soon and the mags will be handled quite differently. Have patience with me, you know I'll always make it right.
