Thanks to everyone for your support and the many kind words. I took Peaches back to the vet to have him end her suffering. Peaches is now resting in a special place near Lacey's Play-House. With Peaches I buried my hat, for she was truly the Great and Exceptional Rabbit Hunter, I just served as her ride to the woods. She will be forever missed.. Get Them Up Peach.....

Sorry to hear about Peaches.
It is hard to bury the good ones.
Your memories of her will live as long as you do.

I buried mine with much reverence and respect, their collars still on.
Even though they are gone, they will always be mine.

Cain, I'm truly sorry to hear of your loss. I know how very special certain hounds can be to one's heart.

Cain, sorry for the loss of your very special hound. That was an act of kindness for you not to let her suffer long. Best wishes to you and your family.

Remember and treasure the good Times, and the pain will slowly go away.
You must have some nice off-spring from her, keep her alive threw them.
