I keep around 8 runn'n hounds a upcoming pup or 2 and I figure compared to other hobbies I've had , horses , game-cocks and a few others, dog feed prices = to amount of enjoyment I'm way ahead. I've quit most all other hobbies , but we still use our Maxum inboard run-about
a bunch in warm weather , cheep to operate and some good clean family fun , also get in a little quite time with just mama with the boat a sucluded cove, half in the sun & half in the shade with a Zebco 303,bobber and cricket, looking for a big ole blue-gill or 3.lol. She love to fish !!!

If anything was going to affect the number of hounds in my kennel because of cost it would be Vet care and Flea/Tick preventatives. When compared to everything else feed seems to be a small part of the equation.
