Hows the running been for you guys???? Cold weather

I don't know about the running, We can't find any rabbits to run. Hunted four hours today, finally jumped one that ran about 50 yards to the hole. I've had the problem for a couple years now. Can't find any rabbits. I guess I'm gonna have to look for some private land to run on.

Hi guy`s i`ve been running here in pa. we have about 4 inchs of snow and real cold i run a 5 dog pack and the dogs have no problem running them but finding them is the hard part they seam to set real tight the dog has to stick his noes right up the rabbits butt to jump it. I found this spot by a creek and one of my pups that i was training got out on the ice and fell in and almost lost her if it wasn`t for my boy she would have been gone.

J.Storer, we're supposed to get into the mid 30's this weekend and up the 40 on monday which should help out quite a bit. Hopefully some of that warm air will make it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up to where you're at.

After having a great season so far Sunday was a bad day. 20-25 mph winds, about 12 degrees & a hard crust of ice to run on. I figure wind chill was -10 or more. We only had 2 short runs. I dont know if the rabbits just were not out or what. Glad to hear I wasnt the only one who had trouble. Worst of all I had someone with me who really knows dogs to check my 2 out & we couldnt get it done. It always happens that way. I`m chalking it up to a bad day. I know we have run good on worst days so I dont know what was up. Mike
