I've been feeding Hi-Pro for the last 3 years with good results up until this year.. My dogs started looking like crap. I was feeding 3-4 cups just to keep weight on them. I noticed their stamina level wasn't what it use to be... Don't know if Purina changed anything or not but I had to make a change. I went back to Diamond 26/18 about 4 weeks ago and WOW! More stamina and feeding less.. plus no more yellow runny crap.

I am sure that there are all kinds of good feed out there. Sure some dogs do better on certain types of feed than others. I personally started feeding Purina about 5 months ago and have seen a great improvement in my hounds. So my advice to you is, try it for 3-4 months and if it doesn't satisfy you then try something else. :)

I feed the Purina green bag, mainly because Black Gold is too hard to get around here. I have good results with it, nice shiny coats and pretty good stamina. I can't say i've ever seen my hounds look tired on it. I tried the Diamond once, but like another poster said there was so much poop i couldn't keep the kennel clean. I'll just stick with the Purina, i can get it about 2 blocks from my house.
