Re: Northway
I like the hunt and desire and strong nose power mine is Reffetts bred 9 crosses of spur in 5 generations not to mention all the other great northway dogs that are in their I just breed her to LP GR CH Skyview Cliff he is New City Crusier Breed should put a little more foot speed in the pups.
Re: Northway
I have owned several and like the bloodline as a whole.
Strengths
Bottom
Hunt
Close Check work
Desire
Good line control
Patience
No quit
Weaknesses
Hard headed as hell
Can be a little difficult to break off of trash but will eventually break
Lack of foot speed if not outcrossed(Most are upper medium - medium fast) A splash of branko on the bottom side can make them get up and go a little bit better.
They can go biiiiiig, even the females. I have seen quite a few 16 inch northway bred dogs.

Well how about a 3/4 Northway & 1/4 Patch what ya'll think about this for adding a little something extra? Now where do I go from here as far as bloodlines goes. I know what I have in mind but I want to hear some ideas from those who know!

Re: Northway
I've seen some good ones. But I personally just do not have luck with them for some wierd reason. Now for all of you that say you're looking for it and can't find it or want another one just call me. I've got a 14 5/8" female out of Buzzsaw X Dandy Andy's Annie with Jigs, New City, and Branko on the bottom that is from a repeat breeding that some made rabbit champions. Very good looking tri color, with plenty of speed and handles as good as any. And I'll tell you the goods and bads she needs a little bit of nose for me and some control. I posted her once before and the people that saw her run and had judged her sister; that sold for thousands, said mine is a better dog. I'll run her against anything you want to bring. 270 737 9700
