hubertsoutlaw wrote:Wildcatfan; who is your opinion on the best stud hound, You do seem very opinionated. You might just have the dog I will breed to when I breed my FC Hills Prime Time Blazer x Proper Page(FC Main Events Show Times Litter mate sister) Female or my NFC Badgers Park Hills Luke Female X FC Huberts Tori Female. I do like your post, and am trying to find the best stud dog out there for 2008. I also know that we all run different styles of hound, but still one of them has to be producing good/great hounds. I also know that I don't have all the young studs up here. I am missing FC Pinnacle hills sport, FC Main Events Showtime, FTC Stone Hills Gator,GRCH Louis's Blue Man,FC Gator (scott musics dog),FC Sullivans Go Joe, ect. I would Like to Here from People who have Champions or dogs out of these cross and/or of other top producing hounds around, Indiana, kentucky,Ohio, Michigan, New York, or just anywhere.Akc, Ukc and NKC.
louis's blueman is my pick
just had some nice ones out of him
and he hasnt been bred to a lot
and i dont know of a bad dog yet
that i know of
theres another opinon for ya

Steve you do have a good point. FC Hardenburgs Babe Blue is a good one. Fc Viagra is another good one that might have hounds old enough. Fc buddys Iron Eagle is one I forgot but he might have died here recently. That is why i didn't include him. I also didn't mean to step on anyones toes for a dog that should have been on here and is not. They are just good dogs that I have seen things out of. Thanks steve.

WILDCATFAN: Can't disagree with you there. Three of the best dogs I have ever owned are straight off of louis's blue man. My cousin owned louis's blue man before tony upton. He has produced some dynimate dogs for his limited breedings.

I am Looking for specific dogs out of some of those blood lines like reggie, jasper thunder blue, northway spurr, northway ninja, ect. Also, they have to be able to breed. The best producers of 2008.

I have heard some people talk about Junie. The dogs seems nice but is he producing field champions, rabbit champions ect. That is cool to here about some of his pups. That is just as important!
You may want to include LPGRCH Talkabout Code Blue & LPGRCH Roll On Buddy ;) .
I know what you are saying I should have been more specific .

Could of had about 10 more turbo males on here. Bunch of them that are champions in different registry's and producing. Not that I'm a Turbo man close as I get is once in third generation. Realy not enough chose's on here. Lot of Male's producing that is not on the list. Never know which is the best till after they are dead and males out of them are still producing. I thank it takes more than one generation to make a great STUD Dog. Like Jack of all Trades o, Blue Ninja. some of the northway dogs, haunted hill shaker to name a few those dogs pasted it on for a lot of generations and are still sought after blood today. To my notion that is what makes a stud dog great. Ask again in ten or fifteen years them I give my Opion of todays Great's Stud Dog. :argue:

You may want to do two different threads with this! One with just the top 6 turbo studs that YOU are considering, and the other with the top 6 branko's YOU are considering. I see the info your trying to get now. There are some super tough Turbo males out there. Here are the ones that i know are in the OH, WV, IN, KY area:

Reggie
Turbo By Turbo
Thunder
Blueman
Jasper
Blue Levi
Turbo Bar None
Turbo Shank
Turbo Super Sport
Showboat

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them!
HOLLARBACK KENNELS
FC Reggie's Fast Cash
FC Moss's Tula
Hollarback's Reggie's Fast Holly
McDavids KY Lucky Charm
Hollarback's Hurry Up Mercy
Hollarback's Cinnamon Run Zebby

That's the big problem with turbo males. THERE ARE SOOOOOOOO MANY GOOD ONES.
We own FC, UKC HBCH GRCH, ARHA LPBCH Creek Woods Blue. (gosh that's a mouth full) He's also almost a Grand in Ukc and Rabbit Champ in ARHA if I run him anymore. Turbo threw alot of nice hounds and so did Brent's Primetime and if you look there it goes back to Elk Creek's Blue Babe. Now that is one hell of a bitch. It's too bad you can't freeze eggs like semen!

About Freejack, I know Ronnie and Tom have a derby running I believe named Freeway and has placed in derbies. I know Blaze is producing and Reggie has produced some placing in both license trials and derby's. I would like to see a Trail's pup run if anyone close to Indianapolis has one, let me know. I have a few Reggie pups and would like to compare running styles in them.

If you wan't to breed to a stud, go watch him run guy's. Trial records and championships are one thing, but the dog might not run the way you want a dog to run. Also, you can't breed a run of the mill bitch to a good stud and expect something. Not all females are producers!

Perhaps a better name for the thread would have been best Turbo Stud today.

There are a fair amount or turbo dogs you are correct. Turbo is dead though. I under stand some of the dogs he has thrown aren't. Are they Throwing Field and Rabbit champions. Ukc Champions! Blazes 1 litter he threw a akc field champion. His first litter also has a bitch placing pretty consistently. Blazes second litter Brandon bred has bitches with wins and places. His roller male and two 13 inch bitches out of him has placed and won derbys.

Drews Blue strom has 4 field champions with many dogs placing. Strom threw his Lady dog That is one outstanding Bitch. There is a really nice bitch called brewers blue angel. Dons new derby has already a licensed win and derby wins out of drews blue storm. Serious limited breeding. That says a lot for STORM.

I am not getting in to a fromat dispute but to make a akc field champion is hard. There are 1/10 the akc trials as any other format. These hounds that are producing AKC Field Champions, pretty much have to be the real deal. Not saying that a rabbit champion, or ukc champion is not impressive, but it is hard making a field champion forsure.
