A general forum for the discussion of hunting with beagles, guns, clothing and other equipment and just talking dawgs! (Tall tales on hunting allowed, but remember, first liar doesn't stand a chance)
A lot of guys on here always give credit to the Sire. I'd say after looking at the results from this week's trial and a few of the past trials I'd say watch out for anything coming out of FC. Green Bay Blue Bay in the future. She is a 15" female that finished two years ago. She has been bred just a few times with at least 3 dogs so far with wins and almost all of them that have been campaigned have placed high. I think the oldest pups are about a 1 1/2 years old. I do know she is now bred to IFC Cedar Beck Oliver. LOOK OUT!!!
im new to board but not beagles. id say reffetts mt white hussler. if the northway is bred right it is hard to beat. i call it the left handed dingus. hussler is bred right and throwing them right. they have super hunt, jump, desire all the stuff that makes great ones. hussler has an it factor and it reminds me of happy days gone by. I wish someone would breed a real line bred dingus female to him. they would be ground stompers.JMO
IFC GREEN BAY BUTKUS... There is no doubt in my mind he is the top 13 inch stud dog in the country.
I ran some dogs with Donny today and Butkus can flat out hold a track together and make all the dogs in the pack look better... He is the glue.
Look at the results of Snow Shoe Ridge, I rest my case.
Keyview beagles what do you know?? You act like your over there running with him all the time!! Oh, wait you are! LOL You could not give me a pup out of Butkus, oh wait I am picking mine up next Friday!! LOL. He must be a real hound and I hope to take a nice female to him in the future for sure! Too many of the same stories on him not to be the case.
JMO, with his pedigree on any you could get the best of both worlds, nice speed and the control to run with any, and don't forget nose power, something most lines may need to improve control. Again, JMO on this.
