how do you jump 5 rabbits in 1 hour that's 12 minute runs. just curious, i like a hound that jumps a rabbit and run it till it holes, gets shot or caught some rabbits will run for 2 or 3 hrs. if not shot.

Don't have any idea about where you are located or if running rabbits, swampers or hare but around her its all cottontails and yes we have good races at times, then other times seems like every rabbit you jump will head straight to a hole, sometimes not even enough of a race to have a check in it so its not that strange. I also like a dog that runs it till it holes but around here if a dog is still running the same game for 2-3 hours you better be laying the tri-tronics cause its not a rabbit or they are slow type dogs.

I might just take you up on that sometime, we run up on an old Strip Mines a lot, some nights we have some super good running, some nights just suc, its hard to have a good run up there during daytime, bunnys go straight to the ground.

Tuff, gimme a holler sometime, I'm in your neck of the woods kinda. Don't have very many places like this but I do have 1 or 2 that are pretty darn good. During the day we can get an hour or so on a bunny pretty regular. Got pretty good numbers to. I've never even ran those places at night, it'd prolly kill my butter balls if I did

trials have killed the true jump dog. guys don't want a hound with a huge nose and lots of hunt. they want close hunting dogs and med nose. I just got lucky and picked up a femal that is loaded with snchapps and casey, a grand daughter to casey. real huge nose and I am trying to get the fat off of her. she will be a great hound for starting pups and gunning. thanks again George Tice. sally will be enjoyed very much.

Every dog i have seen from Granpy was flat azz burnt up with hunt. Glenn Crains Rocky dog is also hard colby hills bred, he also was a hunting fool.I have heard lots of pretty good stuff about Colby Hills however i speak of Granpy with experiance.
They are not the fastest dogs but can turn when running in a pack. Seen it time and time again.

polly jumped 5 rabbits in wythville,va. at the grand nationals last year and yes ,every rabbit was seen and run to a hole. I think they called the place we run "roosters momas". mike powells boot jack was in the cast with us and the guy that owns the dog that won the ky.state was judging. I think his dog is named big show.
But that's not unusual for polly. shes a jump dog EVERY day! Not only a jump dog ,she can run the hair off of um. She will push um out of the brush.

I have what I believe is a true jump dog, on hare and cottontail. He just seems to know where they are. Don't have to put him in the brush, cause when you drop the tailgate he's already in'em. But he's nearly 13 now and not quite as good as he once was, but can still put some young dogs to shame. His name is martin's Reno and is out of Don Bramlett's stuff. His sire is Bramlett's Black Diamond.

Nice looking dog.Sometime back the topic about jump dogs came up.I took quite a bit of flack by saying jump dogs are very hard to find. When I mentioned that I had owned in my opinion 2 true jump dogs in over 40 years of beagling.Several suggested I get new dogs.Who knows they may be right.I do no that I have owned several sorry dogs several above average, but the jump dogs were far and few between. I just gun hunt and pack run with friends.I will be the first to admit I don't get out much so I could be missing the boat... I see jump dog supreme, jump dog deluxe, advertised on the net all the time...
