I wish they had that information published. If they do, I know not of it. I read one time that pearson creek carson sired over 100 fcs but im not sure if that information is accurate. I think since the 90's shorts pro is probably the top producer. (Slower spo hounds tho)

You beat me to it Sparky I know springs has produced quite a few field champions, and some that are still placing.
I have a nice female out of her and Shooter.

FC Short's Pro produced 100+
Had a female that was Harehound x Short's Pro.
Excellent dog, and ran extremely accurate to the line with foot.

Maybe im wrong but i counted 29 FCs out of IFC MJR Mitsou Argenteiul Striker
If you go to beaglefieldtrials.com and use their pedigree program look up the offspring of any dog you want, youll see how many FCs are by whatever dog you wish to look at.

Re: Who is akc top reprodcing sire of all time
This is a great subject…
From the mid-70’s to modern day within the SPO “mid-west” type and Large Pack {Cotton Tail/Hare… This is not the official AKC Stud Book records, but just the ones that I know of. There may be a few more for some of these hounds. However, I know of IFC Branko’s Ali Baba with 35 Champions, IFC MJR Mitsou Argenteiul Striker with 31, IFC Round Pond Mr T with 23 Champions, IFC Melanson Ranger Dan with 22 Champions and IFC Able’s East Coast Trimmer with 19 Champions.
Then you have IFC Greenwell’s Reggie who could very well be on his way to breaking some records. He just turned 12 this past July. Reggie was still producing healthy litters last year and has a lot of young dogs on the ground.
The amazing thing, are the hounds that produced these champions with very limited breedings, while others were bred a massive amount of times. I also respect the ones that produced dogs that became great reproducers themselves, repeating this scenario for multiple generations keeping it all in the family, to me that is a powerful thing.
Also, it would be interesting to have the numbers from the CKC, UKC & ARHA in which some of these same sires produced many great dogs, pending the era.
It would be great if there were a “records site” that provided all of this information. Great resource sites like http://www.worldpedigrees.com/Home/Index and http://beaglefieldtrials.com/ipb/pedigree/ are incredibly helpful but there are records that have not been added to those sites. However, I do know that if you email AKC at reports@akc.org they will in most cases answer via email at no charge, unless the request is really “extensive”.

Re: Who is akc top reprodcing sire of all time
Its all very relative to format . I like what the ukc does with the coonhounds. If anyone subscribes to Coonhound Bloodline mag. every issue at the back they publish top producing sire and dam (Current and Historical) and this is separated by total champions and by percentage produced and to me percentage is a much better indicator . So take a dog like MR T mentioned in this post produced 23 champs sounds great right ? However I have read a stud add on him years ago stating he has somewhere close to 2000 pups produced . So dogs like Jack and Ninja who only produced about 250-300 pups and still produced 38 plus champs is far more superior . I think Reggie is another example of people not knowing the stats. I know that's not a popular view but numbers don't lie. Reggie would have to have close to 2000 pups and hes the akc top producing sire with 24 offspring placing . Look at Viagra about 500 pups and hes only a few offspring behind. I also know with beagles they're a lot of dogs that don't go to trials or even get registered but the sample numbers listed are approx. but very close and give us a good enough overview.

Re: Who is akc top reprodcing sire of all time
Great post Darryl. You hit the nail on the head with that. Percentage is far more important. Right now in our area I can tell you for example FC Weirs Ready Rock Ripper is producing dogs placing and winning in trials at a very high percentage but because he hasn't been bred much he won't have that chance to break any records.
Ninja for as short as he lived and how many pups he put out still goes down as one of the best producing studs of all time.
