If you look at our videos you will see our hunting crew all wears mule hunting clothes. We have just about every piece of clothing they sell. If you purchase a set of bibs you will not wear them out. You may out grow them but you will not wear them out. They are stiff but the more you wash them the better they do. One thing you won't have to worry about is a briar ever touching you. I think we can safely say nobody spends anymore time in the brush than we do. my brother and i hunt and pleasure run just about ever day and spend time in the brush with our dogs. I try to video and stay with the dogs as much as possible. We have bibs, pants, shirts, vest, 3 different styles of jackets and I am not sure what else we all have but if it says mule it will do the job. The stuff is heavy but tuff as nails. I can't wear the water proof lining because it does not breath and is very hot. My brother does not sweat and does not seem to have a problem with it. Most of the stuff repels water pretty well so it is not a problem for me. In my opinion there is not a product out there that can stand anywhere close to the punishment of what the mule clothing will take. This is not a paid advertisement but it could be if Mule would like for it to be. We have about 7 guys who really believe in the product.

Re: mule clothing???
I bought a pair of mule bibs about five years ago. I got the ones without the water proof lining, because they do not breath and I do sweat. When I tried them out in the briars, I was shocked at how tough they are. Very seldom do I ever get stuck with a briar thru them. When I do, I stop and am surprised, as I go thru the thick briars not around them when trying to keep up with the dogs, my dogs hunt the briars but you still have to cross thru and such to keep up with them while their hunting. Anyways my bib without the water proof lining did let me get wet. I then took the same bees wax that I put on my boots and heated it in a small crock pot and painted it on my mules after this I used an old iron that I bought at a thrift shop to iron the wax in the material. And this worked well. After a while I have to repeat the process, but sometimes I just re iron them and that works to bring the wax back up. I used a lot of wax the first time and a lot less on follow up treatments. After you wax them they will stand up on their own and be hard to zipper, but they loosen up real nice when you wear them. I will probably never have to buy another pair of their bibs for me in my lifetime as from what I have seen they don't wear out . But I may buy another pair for back up in case I loose these or someone steals them. This bees wax works great on boots and shoes also for water proofing. I use a heat gun on shoes and boots but you have to be careful you don't get them too hot. I never tried any other wax but bees wax ,so I don't know if other waxes would work. I like American made products that work great and these do. My next mule clothes will be a game coat. If anyone has any input on how they like theirs I wouldn't mind hearing. I like to praise a product when they deserve it and can't say nothing but good about my mules. By the way I don't sell mules or bees wax, but am just a happy user. I bought my mules based on word of mouth, and want to thank the others on this sight that praised them so well back then, it led me in the right direction.

Chip E wrote:Dan's is making Bibs and Chaps and Jackets now out of the same material that Wicks used it is called Rugged wear and there Chaps that are made out of the same material is called Five Star Chaps. I have compared them to a pair of Wicks Chaps and they look the same and feel the same on the material part. I handle them if interested in them give me a call 304-984-1430 Eisenhut Dog Supplies we are changing are web site to make them easier to find them.

I am new to having the bibs, waterproof, the chaps, also waterproof, and a custom made Jacket with waterproof lining.
I do see some issues with sweating, BUT if you leave the jacket unzipped to vent some it is fine.
It is HIGH quality material and I do like it.
Chaps I have had the longest and used them a bunch this summer in lots of grassy fields. they kept my pants completely dry.
I would definitely want the shirt with NO waterproof lining.

Re: mule clothing???
I wear Mule pants with the waterproof lining. When you first get them they can stand up in a corner by themselves.Lol they are stiff but you can't tell just by the looks of them that they are top notch!
I've owned the same pair for 3 years and they are still in excellent shape. I never wash mine. Just spray them off with a hose and hang dry.
They are by far the best pants/chaps I have owned to date. They are not 100% briar proof but very close to it. A few briars will slip in and get you. Southern MD had some Nasty briars. The pants with the waterproof lining are not made for the spring or fall. You will sweat in them. During the winter months they are perfect.
I probably hunt and hit the briars harder than anyone out there. I'll go through the thickest stuff just to see if I can make it to the other side. lol. Trust me there is nothing better out there than Mules pants and bibs.
