FC Brent's Prime Time finished for his title in 2002 with 3 wins & 3 2nds in the AKC Mid-West. He put a lot of grit, nose & desire in his pups. None of his offspring were quite as fast as him, but were great track dogs that gave plenty of tongue on the track & had smooth line control & stayed close in the check area. They kept quiet while searching in the check & hit hard with a loud squall when they found it. Prime Time also had a lot of stamina & was known for sticking with a long check until he found it no matter how long it took.
Prime Time died in 2006 & was only bred to 30 bitches. 26 of those bitches produced at least one placing offspring in Mid-West licensed trials from that cross with Prime Time. He produced 16 different pups that won at least one AKC licensed trial in the Mid-West & seven became AKC FC's; FC Talkabout Kellie (6 wins), FC GMC's Primetime Peeka-Boo (10+ wins), FC Hill's Primetime Trailblazer (6 wins), FC Pound The Ground Chance ( 7 wins), NLPC Talkabout Dotty (5 wins), FC Queenie's Primed & Ready (4 wins) & FC Spencer's Blue Flame ( 3 wins). Two of them, FC Talkabout Kellie & FC Hill's Primetime Trailblazer won Better Beagling's Outstanding Pack Hound Award & NLPC FC Talkabout Dotty won the AKC Large Pack Nationals. Counting FC's & Fld. Winners, Prime Time pups accounted for 55 AKC licensed wins! Several of Prime Time's grandpups have become FC's already as well. Most notable are, NLPC FC Main Events Showtime, FCGD Wells Woods Valentine, FCGD J&B's Free & Easy, FCGD Cereal City Wango Tango, FCGD Talkabout Gertrude, FC Chimney Rocks Ky Lucky & FC Drew's Blue Storm.
Time does cross well with Reggie stuff it seems. By doing that, you double up on a lot of Jack of all Trades through Heli-Prop & Blue Ninja thus a lot of IFC Able's East Coast Trimmer, not to mention all the Camp Creek Gertrude blood.
Although I missed the chance to see him run, I've been told by many that Reggie was a great hound also. He won a lot of trials under some good judges against some great competition. Both Prime Time & Reggie have been the Mid-West's "Top Sire" more times than any other dog. Reggie has won Better Beagling's Top Sire Award twice & Time was 2nd runner-up in 2008. Both Reggie & Prime Time are names that will live on long after we're gone. They have left that kind of a mark on beagling in my opinion.
