I finally remembered the name of the fellow in Ohio that had the Lightfoot dog [son of Blue Boy ].It was Kelley Bonnet I believe.
At the time we talked he described Lightfoot almost exactly as you described Blue Boy ie "best, toughest, most gentlemanly dog to grace my kennel.A line running dog, tough as nails, doesn't care what the rest of the pack is doing kind of dog.Very smart with almost human like qualities."
Boy,that's the kind of dogs I'll always want and strive to produce !!
Kelley told me that he's always kicked himself for never getting anything out of him before he died.
Sounds like that Chance dog of yours' has those qualities and if you're ever heading to Tn. bring him along!

Hey Bob
How are you?Still running the beagles I see.Me too.Don't know what else to do I guess.Still loving it as much as ever.
Seems to me that I remember you as keeping the 13" dogs.Ever end up with any bigger dogs out of your crosses?
Those are some nice bred pups you've got.
Take care and enjoy your running.

Dana, yep running dogs but not traveling like I did. I'm staying closer to home, but still going to the Triple Challenge. When are you coming back? Now for another quote from Terry McBride, "Prop was the best running hound he ever saw run a rabbit." He was quoted in print and told me to my face. I did spend a night on a cot in the basement, after we spent most of the night talking dogs with Steve Mickleson (Steve got the spare bed). John Monkman told me he was glad to see I got IFC Murray's Little Blazer. He said he was the best little male to come out of the east Canada. I miss Terry and John Monkman. Two of my favorites. Ralph Harrington told me about his all time winner's pack he judged and it was a LPH not an SPO. Early, Blazer lead the pack and ran it like it was painted on the ground, but ran out of gas and fell to 3rd.

I do sometime get 15" especially males. I do have a male 14 1/2" male out of IFC Murray's Little Montana (Caper & Miss Molly) & WingatePoint Sky Rocket (Kemler's Bulls Eye (Ali-baba & Nicky) & MojavaDesert Truetrack Sky (Ali-baba granddaughter). Joe Wingate judged the 2005 Trial of Champions (Montana won) and said it was the most dominating performance he has ever seen. He is still in my kennel and almost 15.

I've got a male with 12 crosses of Jack of all Trades. Closest to him is in his forth generation though.
