wvduece , do you have a pedigree on the two you breed ? I wouldn't worry too much about it . I was told by a nice Patch breeder that Patch hounds have been breed for 110 years and not be afraid to breed the best to the best . " They can take it . "

IMO some of the first things you start seeing when the breedings are bad is a reduction in size , bad bite , stupidity or bad confirmation . From what I see ,

I think we can do this for another 110 years

i can get a copy of the pedigree on the stud i used but my female is a grade dog n no papers the male is more of a red than lemon but he is marked like most lemons mostly white with big red spot on each side copper nose he is a short beagle probally around 13 in if he is that tall big mouth n a rabbit machine great foot speed probally around a 7-8 with all the stamina you need no quit in that lil fellar bout like some of my old hatch cocks n my female had 10 pups but only one survived she is a 13 in marked just like the stud great big paws on such a little dog with real thick coat the stud has thick fur too, i was just curious about those two other dogs medina road lobo and little fanny patch those were just 2 dogs on his pedigree that i rembered a friend who i run with alot has the male dog we are suppose to run tonite n i will ask him more about the pedigree hope i havent confused you too much your welcome to drive up n run with us tonight im in gilbert wv about a hour from kermit wv have a great place to run our hounds we have 1500 acreas leased that is a old strip mine loaded with rabbits as we very seldom shoot them unless we shoot one for a pup jb
