Sorry everyone, I just had to throw my own dog in. I figure this is my one chance in life to beat some of the big dogs. It's all mine when they don't make the cast stakes.

Patch, Alibi Billy gave a little too much mouth but he was strong consideration for my list... :D Would have loved to have met the breeders & owners nearly as much as seen the hounds :!:

Top Five

Post by Stone Cold Beagles »

Ok, I guess we have all been waiting for this one. We all know that there are really too many to list.

1st pack:
IFC Mon Chien Wally
IFC Wally of Floline
IFC Line Elm Bimbo
IFC Adirondack Bobby
FTC The Elm's English Bobby

2ne pack:
IFC Branko's Ali-Baba
FTC The Elm's Jigs Maggies Mate
IFC Mt Zion Pete
IFC Lar-May Toastmaster
FC Dingus MaCrea

3rd pack:
FTC Branko's Jack of all Trades
IFC Maravic's Blue Ninja
IFC Branko's Magic Touch
IFC Branko's Heli-Prop
FC Branko's Curious George

4th pack
IFC Armando's Northern Tracker
FTC Armando's Hawkeye
IFC Armando's Tasha
FTC Armando's Zachary
FTC Armando's Diamond Jim

Although I know that this could have never been a real trial because of the size differences, I have to believe that any of these packs would have been great to watch. The real winner in this Fantasy trial would be definitly be me.

Standings As of TOday.

Post by MasonsBeagles »

OK here are the standings as of know. We gotta start handling dogs, sorry but it must be done. Some really fine hounds were posted but we got to get to the ultimate champion. Here are the dogs remaining. It has ended up being a big pack hunt but we are getting there.

Right know

Jack Of All Trades has a commanding lead

Turbo Powered by Prop, Dingus Macrae, Brankos Ali Babba tied for second.

Northway Spur, Mt Zion Pete, Ables East Coast Trimmer, Elms Jigg Maggies Mate are all tied for third.

Taylors SOck it to me, Brankos Heliprop, Mark Vs. Ace in the hole and Brankos Close Call Girl are tied for fourth.

Handlers Please handle the remaining dogs.

OK having to call it like I see it. So dont take it personally. You can take a protest to the master of hounds. Which in this case will have to BEV. Sorry to throw you in Bev, but a trial wouldnt be complete w/o a master of hounds.

Know it is up to the viewers to pick a field champion out of the remaining pack. It is a fine group of hounds but we must have a winner. We will have a ten dog finish so two of the remaining hounds must be eliminated. Pick your dogs and for those of you that were fortunate to see these dogs run, you can plead your case to help and sway a tie.

Good luck, lets run dogs.

I'm going with my hometown Favorite with the list of placing dogs now. As far as the winner goes, I'm gonna have to go with FC. MT ZION PETE!!!

We all know anyone today that runs hounds its hard to look at your pedigree and not see PETE there... If it wasn't for PETE alot of these greats wouldn't be around..

I still run dogs with some old time beaglers that have had the opportuninty run with PETE and see what he was all about. I have heard some great stories.. One story was when PETE ran a line thru a judges legs, at his home club at Gogebic Range B.C. in Ironwood Michigan when this judge didn't even see the hare, but the other judge seen where it went and there was no other dog that even knew there was a hare there.

PETE take home the Hardware!!!

Just talked to E.C. Hare and he says Old Kickapoo was judging them hounds on the wrong rabbit. He said he was in at the check down by the creek and there was a split. Old Patch got the check and when the other hounds were harking in to him, they started another hare. Well, Glen heard the pack coming back towards him and stayed with them while old Patch is still off running the orginal hare.
E.C. says the last time he judged old Patch, he showed him his hare 100 different times, in 19 hours of continuous driving. So, you boys go on ahead, we may be in late as it sounds like this may take awhile.
Long live the merry little hounds :D ...Patch

Patch, did you ever read that account G G wrote about handling Watatic Warden and another well rounded hound. Said a Tally HO jumped up in right in front of them while waiting to run. Seems both lundged so hard that pieces of the lead snaps flew in all directions and they were off to the races-thier brace or not! Now I could stand LOTS of that :!:

I'm gonna have to say that in the end, IFC Able's East Coast Trimmer is going to pull out the victory. He has been running in the middle all day and doing a great job of getting the checks on over runs and what have ya. Looks like he might out last some of the younger pups as they are running out of juice. Jamie Hilbert Kentucky Beagles
