Field Trial Breeder or Hunting Breeder.

I breed for what i call a gun dog and thats a dog i can take to the woods and bring dinner back home. none of mine are perfect for sure and as many have said {run what you like and like what you run} well thats me some faults i can live with the next man maybe can't. Now on the trial dog part of it ive seen some great dogs but also ive seen some not so great for instance i seen a rch dog once that ran beautiful but was gun shy bad but the man told me he didn't mind that he was his trial dog. And people paid often to breed to that dog that couldn't be gunned over. also have seen and akc dog that was a champion and by far could run a rabbit better than any dog ive ever seen but his fault if you couldnt find one he'd run a real nice deer. now i respect the guys that gun and trial there dogs i think if your going to trial it should be that way.

mybeagles, I understand what running year round can do for a hound. But I assure you That in this part of the country its not good for a hound, I have Ran young dogs after midnight in the summer and the heat really pulls them down. Over heating a hound to much can cause kidney damage. Then again here in sc the er at the hospitals are treating more snake bites than ever before. the terrain I run in is briars growing out of briars and water, snakes and gators are just the biggest problem not to mention the ticks. Believe it or not its even super nasty with the winter die off, invited some dudes and their branko hounds this past winter to come and hunt. They stayed fifteen minutes and got in their trucks and said they did not hate a rabbit bad enough to stay. You are welcome to come and run or hunt anytime, we will have lots of laughs, good food, and we will bleed some too. We keep dresses for those who want to stand in the road. Its all in fun. Got enough rabbits to run from daylight to dark.
