I have found that Sevin dust works great for removing ticks but, not fleas. Maybe the fleas around my "neck of the woods" are just tougher than most. I have literally covered puppies with Sevin dust for fleas and the fleas just kept on munching. I have used the Hartz flea drops from Wal-Mart, for several years with great results and no noticeable side effects.
