Brandon take the camera position at the first ridge crest T at Ros Dasno's running grounds another camera when you first enter the gate about 30 feet in. At those 2 spots you get alot of footage.Instead briar patch bandits name the video hare hound all stars.The sequel or true test of brains then go run cottontails.

Im going to be taking over Ross's running grounds now as he has asked me to lease it. We can make this happen. We have both hare and cottontail in the 100 acre pen. Id love to watch Eli, i hear great things about him.

Out of that line up of Kickazz, Slick, PawKing, and Eli, would it be good running or would it be a big cluster?? Would they screw up the race by trying to run the front or would they line up and run line????

A question was asked a while back if you could see a pack run again of your choosing, who would it be. Members on here said what they would like to see. One Beagler said with all that power on the ground, he thought it wouldn't have much running time since all would be wanting the front...

So my question to the people who own KickAzz, Slick, PWK, and Eli, would they coexist in a pack and run it right or would it be so much power that they would break down a lot...????

I was just wondering who they thought would win?? Thanks for any info

Can pen run dogs be trusted outside of it ? And can we gun hunt em? 2 concerns that quickly 2 my mind.

I can only speak for Eli here in VA we don't have a pen to run in all of our running is in the wild and yes we have plenty of deer and I have not had a problem

We can go outside the pen any day with Kickaz. I dont think it would be bad running just because you have 4 real good dogs. A few of them have run against each other and pounded the snot out of that hare.

I mean no disrespect about pens, honestly i envy you guys that have em. I bought a viagra daughter out of mich once that never seen a cottaintail. I layed her up and got to know her for a week or so. Turned her loose in the wild with a couple Fc dogs, to my amazment that bitch layed in there for several hours. She hunted a little wide but did a great job. I know you boys up north probaly dont have as thick of cover as we do in kentucky, sheer torture in some places.
I would love to see a big pack down in about 90 degree weather and thick azz cover on a running wabbit. To say the least it will definetly ck ones oil. I am amazed to see how these dogs adapt to climate wheter it +90 or -30 and ice. Hope we all can meet in sometime of neutral grounds.

i have bought dogs out of pens and most of them would quit a track when they hit a fence in the wild.... I COULD NOT STAND IT... i see it being one of the biggest problums in pen hounds....quiting..when they are done hunting they just go lay down somewhere.. that and there is so much game they dont have to hunt to find a rabbit.... most are good track dogs jmo


let me assure you it is as thick up here as anywhere..... michigan has all the swamps,briars,grass fields,multi flora rows,ext it is all in where you want to run... my favorite spot has a swamp,briars,gravel,multi flora rows,2 creeks hardwoods with big hills..thornapples ext a bit of everything... if you want to have easy run you can. if you want the dogs to work for rabbit put them in the torn apple thicket... they will come out looking like worriors


if you hound will run thew thorn apples thell run anywhere... unless scared of water

Randy u should call n talked with joek. I'm sure joe have seen my bro dog legend braced with eli. Size matter! If I were u, I stay within akc rules and format. U will never see me run max against chapko ace in a brace competition. Ace is not a beagle. He is either a mini walker, or a crossed between bird dog n beagle.

just getting the size down in his grandpups they are a true 15 and wont have to cheat the stand he is a 16 inch dog all day
