But thats a pen with not many rabbits. A pen full of rabbits or place will make any dog look good. A pen with not many rabbits is a good place to see what your dogs can really do. I heard this a lot. Rabbit Earl you need some more rabbits in that pen. Why you don t need but one rabbit. Some guys want a rabbit behind ever tree. I see this a lot. Run one and throw him away and be right back on a nother and same thing and after about 4 hr. The man comes out with his dogs and talk about how good they run. hey I ve been there and done that. It will come that you always looking a place with plenty of rabbits. Around here its just not that way in the wild in hunting season. Were are the rabbits. Then when you jump one you have to stay on him. Just my two cents on it.

If you have places to hunt with plenty of rabbits. You have been bless.

This is very true....rabbits in a pen learn a lot of tricks....I'm not talking a 10 acre pen but if you get into a 100ish acre pen and a dog can hammer the hare it will be a rockstar in the wild...the wild rabbits run a lot easier loops.
