My good friend Marty Dillard and I took advantage of the 3/4 inch of rain that we were blessed with yesterday evening and cut loose a pack of 8 hounds his 4 females and my 4 males. We started at 7:00 and caught them a little after 11:00 last night. A much needed run for both us and the hounds. The rabbits ran like it was 50 degrees and in the month of May, dogs ended up with 14 miles and at a pace of around 5.4 mph, not bad for middle of July. There was no way I was going to let this night go by without the sound of MUSIC , summers are hot and sometimes depressing for us beagle men but when you get a chance to let them roll go for it , you will be glad you did. Your friend in beagling Ron Preston, hope you too have some great summer runs!!

We had a great season. I will tell Grant. Glad Luke is getting to do what he was bred to do. Take care!
