Never underestimate the importance of teaching a dog gun safety!

LOL! I can only think of one thing that would be more embarrassing for a guy than getting shot in the ankle by his dog..... I guess there's always something to be thankful for!

The first year we moved out here to Idaho, a guy from the base was killed because he set his shotgun down on the bank by the Snake River so he could get down the bank safely. His dog knocked the gun over and it went off, shooting him in the head at point blank range.

shot by dog

i got shot by dog too .. it aint all that funny . ,,, unload your gun when you dont have it in your hand. leaning them against something like tree , car , bank , etc is kind of stupid , dogs are famous for knocking guns over. its not that rare . some people need to see somebody shot before they take gun safety serious . get shot by accident, or see somebody shot by accident a few times it starts to sink in . pete

Two things should be learned form this. First is gun safety and second is to always treat your hounds kindly.
