J. Murphy, That was Bob Huffman that posted the Mineral oil receipe.
I have one that I use that is similar and here it is.
At the grocery store, buy a bottle of white apple cider vineger in the 32 ounce soze and also a bottle of rubbing alcohol in the same size. Mix together and add a bottle of Iodine that comes in a much smaller bottle to the mixture. It will turn pinkesh red. You will have two bottles and that will last a very long time. Pour in each ear and massage ear and side of face until ear opens if there is infection. Usually one time will do the trick for mites or infection caused by the mites, but again the next day will not hurt.
Bob's receipe sounds more gentle than mine. Stand away from the dog and drop it in the pen and get out of the way.
