guys i got a question,,,,,,,,ok,i have a female that has been bred for just 3 weeks today,,,,,,my question is if she is belling up right now which is pretty good and here teets are dropping what does this usually mean,,,,is she gonna have a big litter or just some big pups,,,,,,,,now i know the first question that is going to be is do you know if she hasnt been bred earlier than 3 weeks,,,,,,,,,and the answer is no she isnt bred to anything else,,,,,it was sept of last year , that was her last heat cycle,,,,,,,,,,,,thanks in advance,,,,,,,

I dont understand what her last heat cycle has to do with when she bred this cycle. I have never had a bitch belly up much in 3 weeks. I would say if she is bellying up a lot as you say, then she is further along than 3 weeks.

Do yourself a favor, take the guess work out of it. spend a couple of bucks, and take the dog to a Vet. All you'll get here is opinions and they are dime a dozen.

if this is her first litter that seems kind of weird but if she has whepled pups in the past the nipples could be doing that and its normal i would take her out for some excersise may tighted up her guy a little. not to take any offence you buy just my opinion . good luck with the pups.

Lonewolf, Im not being a smartarse, but her last cycle has nothing to do with this one.I have had bitches that came in every 3 months if they didnt get bred. I have also had some that go a year before having a heat cycle.
I would be willing to bet you are at least 1 week off, if not more.

If no males were able to get to her I can understand that, but her last cycle 6 months ago has nothing to do with when she bred this cycle.
I hope you areright, and your female didnt get bred while hunting or something. I just find it hard to believe a dog would be bellying up and tits dropping at 3 weeks.
I wish i could see her myself.

Well CONGRATULATIONS on the pregnancy!!
I am waiting to find out if my bred bitch is pregnant or just fooling me.
She has what are called "false pregnancies" so it is hard to tell. She sure looks pregnant but again it is only 3 weeks for us. This is the first time she has been bred so we won't know until she sees the vet on Monday.
Anyone have any foolproof ways to tell early w/o the vet?

take a thesascope and put it on her belly to see if you hear heart beats this is what the vet told me,,,,he even said its much cheaper.....
