I know where I can get some solid bred Branko pups that have 14 feild champions in a 5 generation pedigree and they are only asking $125.00 for the males and $150.00 for the females. Now I am almost pretty sure I want a male out of the litter, but I would like a second opinion before I do buy one and see if anyone knows anything about the branko bloodline.

That is the first thing I asked when I sent the e-mail back to him. I said I am almost positive I want one of the pups, but I want to see the a picture of the sire and dam if I could. They are probally the best pups I am gonna find right about where I live. The guy lives 4 hours away and said he will deliver them to me free of charge.

Magic, something just doesn't sound quite right to me. If you only buy one pup, the guy will be lucky to make $50 dollars on the deal for an 8 hour round trip with the price of gasoline. That isn't very profitable for the amount of time and wear and tear on his vehicle. He must want you to have the dog pretty badly. I guess very few make any money in the beagle business anyway. It could just be your lucky day!! Dan

Make sure you either see the dogs run or talk to someone who has seen them run before you buy the pups. I don't know where you live in Missouri, but Denny and Scott Wade in Morning Sun, Iowa have a big kennel and normally have some pups, they will let you see there stuff go in their big enclosure also. You can do a search on Wades Crooked Creek Kennels to get info on them or see their website. Don't buy a pup without getting some references on the parents abilities or seeing the parents run. All of those Champs in the pedigrees don't mean squat if the sire and dam ain't worth a hoot.

Magic, I'm with Dan, either this guy is a super nice guy, I hope he is, or he is keeping you from seeing things he would prefer you didn't see. What is the pedigree? Someone on here might know something about the Sire or Dam that could be helpful to you.

I have a picture of the sire now and he looks real good. He also sent me a 5 generation pedigree of the pups and told me he wants me to pay like 30 extra dollars if he delivers it. Now I have a question. Have any of you guys bought a dog that had to be delivered to you? He asked me to send 1/2 the money now and told me he would take the rest at delivery. Is that how its normally done or what. I have never had a pup delivered to me before.

A picture of the sire will not run a rabbit, if you have a pedigree on the dogs then post it and someone on this board will more than likely be able to tell you a little bit about the hounds involved. I have always collected the money when I delivered the dog when it comes to delivering.

I would be really cautious of this one. Especially in Missori as it is THE Puppymill Capitol of the world. There are a ton of dogs that come out of that state raised in something that resembles a rabbit hutch, and the parents never see the ground. Why don't you post the pedigree on here.

Hope you guys can tell me more about this, because i'm not good with bloodlines. And I don't think I can watch the dogs run rabbits, because if I get them I am having him deliver them, because I don't have no way down to pick them up.

P.S. I would say he gets out quite a bit, because he sent me two pictures of the dog and one he is in a fairly large kennel and in the other he is out running in what looks like a hay field, but I couldn't tell you if he was running a rabbit in the picture or not. I would say the guy runs rabbits, but in my last e-mail I asked him for sure if they ran rubbits or not.

Sorry know I just posted just a second ago, but thought you guys might want to see this. I just got an e-mail from the guy that might be selling me these pups, I will show u the stuff thats important to you guys:
"The sire[Buster] is a faster dog with lot’s of hunt and good desire. Once the tailgate is down he will hunt all day long if you let him. On a speed scale of 1 to 10 I would say he is a 7 or 8. He will be 2 end of Oct., so he is still learning. I’ve trialed him twice this year, Feb. and Mar. He didn’t place in feb. but got 6th in March out of 30 some dogs. I think that’s pretty good for a 1and a half yr. old. The dam {Micky} also has hard hunt. She is a really good jump dog. She can sometimes pick up a scent that the other dogs have missed. I like her for her nose, excellent pack dog, knows her place in the pack and does her part. Like I said she is still new and I’m still working with her. I think these pups will be good gun or trial dogs. I will get a picture of her next couple of days if I get some time. She is tri color, mostly white with little black and tan. When you see her picture you can tell she is Branko by her build."
To me the parents sound like they would produce some good rabbit dogs. So what do you guys think?
