Why would anyone think you are a puppy mill?
I'm one the biggest voices against them and I certainly don't think you are.
BTW, just selling pups does not make one a puppy mill. Having dozens of litters out of "brood" bitches is what makes a puppy mill. Why anyone would buy a puppy out of a worthless female that can't run her tail still puzzles me. Even someone who breeds multiple litters a year isn't a puppy mill, if they have good intentions of rebuilding their pack, adding to "their" pack and bettering the breed.
Folks that breed lots of litters every year for no reason but to sell them is ridiculous, IMHO and I wouldn't buy a paperclip from them. lol
BTW Mike, nice pups!

Mike nice looking pups. I've got a litter 5 weeks old and two more litters on the way so I got you beat on the puppy Mill thing. Do you keep all your dogs? I normally keep two or three out of each litter that I really like and sell the rest. My plan with the three litters I bred this year was to keep two out of each litter and give two away to a buddy who's starting out. Sell the rest and pay for my breaking pen fees, shots and so on for the rest. When I get the dogs back out of the pen in December/January I normally Pick the top two unless there all exceptional and sell the rest as light broke dogs. Never had any of my dogs not run coming out of the pen and if they did they would be put down. I like the idea that it keeps my cost down and leaves me in a postion to evaluate and end up with the best dogs out of the bunch. I find if I do this with two litters a year and sell off my 6 and 7 year old dogs as they get repalced by better yonger dogs It cost me little or nothing to keep the dogs and I end up with a better pack of dogs. Some people will tag you as puppy milling if you raise more that one litter a year but I call it efiecient Rabbit Hunting as long as your breeding to better your stock and pack.
Have a good one
