Scared to death

This morning I was on the phone while my girl "Nut" was outside doing her business, she takes a little longer these days because she is 60+ days pregnant, I walk away from the door to check the calendar, finish my conversion and hang up. I go outside to get her and she is gone.
Now at first I'm thinking she must have come back inside, so I look all over the house, under beds, in closest, anywhere could look I looked. Then I start searching the neighborhood, people are all over the place and no one saw anything. I search and search driving all over looking for her. but I keep saying to myself there is no way she could have gotten this far, she is as big as a house and runs out of breathe just walking outside to do her business. I come home and search all over again. She's nowhere. I print up "LOST" flyers and drive all over putting them up all while asking folks if they had seen her. I get done I drive to the Stray animal facility and no one had turned her in. I figure I have done all I can do. I come back home, call and call and whistle and call for her but nothing. After about an hour of being home I go outside (can't smoke inside...lol) and as I am sitting and trying to calm down I hear this rustle. I go over and search all around this big tarp in the corner of the yard, thinking AHA I found her, but she wasn't there. A couple of hours later I return outside, again while sitting there I hear this rustle, I go back to the tarp and who's head pops out and scares the bejesus out of me. Yep, it's Nut. She had herself so buried in there that even when I picked part of it I never saw her.
Well alls well that ends well but I must admit, I was scared and very upset. She was never more than 10 feet away from me when I stood on the back porch and called and whistled for her over and over again.
