tape worms

can anybody tell me a way to get rid of tape worms? or what kind of medicine i can get to get rid of them.the vet gave me some pills .but i forgot the name of them.and they were expensive.my dogs keep getting them .can anybody tell me where to get something that will take care of them or some place that is cheaper. thank you in advance. matt

YOUR VET PROBABLY GAVE YOU DRONCIT. YOU CAN BUY HAPPYJACK TAPEWORM TABLETS OVER THE COUNTER, THEY ALSO SELL A OVER THE COUNTER PILL NOW THAT IS THE SAME INGREDIENT AS DRONCIT AND YOU CAN ALSO USE VALBAZEN. I DONT REMEMBER THE DOSAGE FOR VALBAZEN THOUGH.

1cc per 10 lbs for 3 to 5 days Be careful. Some of my dogs act like they feel puny during worming. Have had no other problems from it.

Happy Jack and Adams NO Mo is a waste of money. Doesn't kill the head.

Droncit is GOOD STUFF but expensive.

your vet can give the dog a shot that will take care of that nasty parasite....quick and easy....my vet only charged me for the shot....$8.00
the pills that you can buy at farm & dairy supply stores can cost $22.00 per bottle of 5 pills....so economically speaking...see the vet....

I am with SoBeagles on the HJ and NoMO. As it got so expensive, my vet is offering the generic for of Droncit. Drontal Plus gets every parasite in a dog and it WORKS. Cost you about $10 a hound though.
