every time i put my 2 beagles in the truck the both get sick and vomit. i have tried them inside the cab and in the bed ( they are in cages). is there anything i can give them to help with this problem. i am getting ready to get them started on rabbits. if i can not fix the vomitting there is not going to be rabbit chasing. one beagle is 7 month old male and the other one is a 16 month old female.

thanks

The vets have a knockout drug for this but its tooo long of an out for hunting purposes. I had one that got car sick all the time when we were stationed at Little Rock AFB back in 71,, just deal with it and go hunting. It never bothered mine back then, it is a pain in the butt though!!!

try puting them in there boxes daily for a couple of hrs.but don't go anywere.they can become conditioned to start geting sick before there put in the box and this may stop it.

When my pup was younger, as soon as I put him in the truck and went a mile he would vomit.. I got this to stop by covering the cage so he couldnt look outside... When the cage was covered I had no problems... Even in the back of a Durango in a cage, as long as it was covered he was fine. Now hes older the problem went away... Hes almost 9 months now..

Hope it helps

Motion sickness... maybe a couple crackers, no water before you leave. Take them out every day for a ride... maybe they will get used to it...

Good luck,

Don't feed them that day before you go just give them water. Then after you get were you are going or back to your house then feed them. It works for me. And if you are going for a long ride one day. Give them food the day before but take it out before night that day then the next day when you leave they won't throw up.
