anybody ever seen this bloating under stress of running rabbtit

Chris, Was there water in the area you were running? Dogs will drink too much at one time when they are hot from running, and they will bloat. I had a dog get a piece of string caught between her teeth and it went down her throat. She swallowed so much that she took in too much air, and bloated. There are a lot of young rabbits now too. Your dog may have gotten into a nest of rabbits and ate them. It could be a number of things. I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens regularly. If so, you probably should get a vet to look at him when it happens.

i have a female that does this when ran real hard for 6 to 8 hours. she slightly expands from her rib cage all the way thru her stomach. i just assumed it was her rib cage expanding from breathing so hard. i don't really have an answer, doesn't seem to hurt her.

I would watch her stool, if she ate rabbits her stool will be black and slick.
