Insurance cost have gone way up in the past 10 years for my home club.
Would like to hear where clubs are getting thier insuance and what it is costing. Please post if your club carries NO insurance. Please keep to the facts. No "trial lawyer" opinions please. No club names.

Here in Vermont at our beagle club our insurance for the officers and directors is about $1300.00. Rather expensive, but wouldn't want to go without it.

Our club pays approximately $850 per year in insurance. I think that includes the liability of 2 mil plus the club house and two barns. A couple of years ago it was a major issue as we were cancelled with no warning by our insurance co. Our property is at the end of a three mile road + we chose to gate off the part of the road that ends on the club's property. Due to one member's diligence (as he spent much time with agents and/or research) we were able to secure the above. With that came a no gun clause which actually proved an asset, as we were drawing more turkey/deer hunters than we were drawing Beaglers. It's a good topic and you have reminded me to revisit our policy.
