Morning hunt with a Flatlander

Post by mike crabtree »

Bigdogs Buddy Allen came up to get his pups I brought out from KY. We hadnt met, but figured we might as well go rabbit hunting. We ran 10 or 11 rabbits could have killed 2 more easy, but just enjoyed the running.

Hey mike, looks like it was a good day to run. I'm going to run mine in this fresh snow tomorrow. Hope it goes as well as your hunt did. Keep those fine hounds in the brush.

Without trying to sound confrontational, is that as big as the cottontails get in your area??? I killed a rabbit the other morning as big as all three together, and yes it was a cottontail...just curious, Tony

Hey John I ran that pup that I got from you on this hunt and he did a good job. I hope we can get together and run or hunt some time soon.

Great to hear, I'd like to see him go sometime. I'd also like to go running/hunting with you anytime we could get together. If you get back up to Mike's or up this way be sure to give me a yell. Heck, I might even pack up and come down to spend the day with you guys. It's not that far.

I'm glad, Bo didn't show you guys much the day we were down there. Let me get him run up a little and we'll try it again. :)
