I want to say that this is a very knowledgeable site with everything in beagles and hunting. The posts are very helpful and interesting. I have been reading the posts for around 3 years now and have learned a lot. Recently I have been blessed with a newborn son, Darren Page, and I hope I can teach him a lot of what I've learned along the way. Now if this snow would ever stop

one might actually get outside and enjoy.
Thanks to everyone who has made it what it is.

Congratulations on your new son and welcome to the board! Blessed you are in that you have the opportunity to raise him with beagles and hunting from the get-go! There's a saying that if your take your kids hunting, you won't be hunting your kids.

And still another congratulations on the arrival of your new son. It seems like only yesterday the fuzzy faced young fella that now out paces me up the hills was running along side me to keep up. I would take it easy on him but it didn't matter cause he would never complain anyway. I think now he sometimes slows the pace a little for me even though he would never let on that he was doing it. I'm happy for you and a little jealous. I would love to be in your shoes again. Perhaps after his college years, the good Lord willing he will marry and have a boy/girl of his own so I will get the chance to do it again. I like Bevs' saying and here is one my son used to tell his teachers when they gave him a rough time about being a hunter. " My dad says kids who hunt , fish, and trap don't mug little old ladies"

I had seen that saying years ago and taught it to him. He set more than one teacher straight over the years and they were quick to tell me about it during parent teacher conferences. Enjoy the baby they are truly a gift from God!
Peace,
