Santa lives at the North Pole ...
JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh ...
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year ...
JESUS is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies ...
JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited ...
JESUS stands at your door and knocks,
and then enters your heart when invited.
You have to wait in line to see Santa ..
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap ...
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is
"Hi little boy or girl, what's your name?" ...
JESUS knew our name before we were born...
Not only does He know our name,
He knows our address too.
He knows our history and future and
He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly ..
JESUS has a heart full of love
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO ..
JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa says "You better not cry" ..
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."
Santa's little helpers make toys ..
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts,
repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but ..
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree ..
JESUS became our gift and died on a tree....
The cross.
Put Christ Back In Christmas...
Jesus Is Still The Reason For The Season!
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16

Amen tnbeagleman,it is a shame that suddenly we are offending some folks by using the word Christmas because it sometimes comes on the same day as their Holy Day.It seems that our law makers aren't interested that Christmas is our Holy Day and just as important to us,the citizens,as any other Holy Day is to folks that have recently come to America. It really is a shame that Christians, myself included, are sitting around doing nothing about the fact that our faith is slowly but surely being taken from us.

I agree with both of you, so many people have forgotten the true meaning of christmas, its like many large churches around my area are canceling services on sunday morning, which is christmas day. There doing this so people can be with there families. This is the day everyone should be in church, celebrating the birth of christ. I believe in spending time with your family but why not bring them to church and spend time with them there, after all Jesus is the reason for the season.
Just my thoughts
Merry CHRISTmas yall

I have worried about this for a long while now. I have to ask myself, just how full of God is a preacher or church board that would cancel service on a Sunday Christmas morning

?
Seems to me, it would be the best day of worship in the whole year...
When I was a boy, we used to have gift giving on Christmas eve, that way, we got to wear our new clothes to church the next Sunday, no matter what day Christmas fell on...
In those days, going to church brought happiness, not inconvenience.
Our song leader and his wife were always in the "amen corner", I smile to think of it now.
You know how everyone has their certain place to sit when they go into church. Well, one Sunday, the pastor had everyone get up and go around shake hands with others. At one point(when he saw everyone far out of place) he said, ok, everyone stop*, sit down where you stand and we'll continue service...lol...at the end of service, he said, "I just wanted to see what you all looked like as one big family, insted of many seperate ones...lol...this is how God see's you...made everyone think...
You could feel the power of God within those men and they were not like many of todays part-time helpers...
May the true Spirit of Christmas be in each of our hearts, this, and every year

I agree with you Patch. It had been many years since I went to church but I started going again about a year ago and try to go every week, although sometimes it is impossible for me because of work......I can say though I am more excited about Christmas this year then I have been in a long time and I am glad our church is having service! I was raised in Assembly of God and Baptist churches until I was 15 or 16 and I just stopped going for 20+ years.
Anyhow...my wife and I did a job for a guy who works for Salvation Army about a year ago and during conversation we learned he was a minister at a small local "Friends" church. I tried picking this guys mind a little to find out what a "Friends" church was.....I didnt want to be doing no snake dancing or anything of that sorts. He told me they are Quakers and were pretty laid back and invited us out to a Sunday service. Seeing as how we knew several people who went to the church, many of which were old teachers and principals of mine....we took him up on his offer. It is like nothing I have ever been a part of. Every week they teach me something about myself. Quakers actually have a time in the Sunday service every week where you "greet those around you", during this time you get up and walk around and say good morning to everyone, ask how they are doing and such. At first some may find this hard to do, but as time goes by its like you all know each other and how life is treating one another, it brings you closer and makes you understand each other a little better. I can think of nothing better than celebrating the birth of Jesus with family and friends on a Sunday morning in church.
Merry Christmas to you all!
