they seem to improve with each outing, the concern i have is one of the dogs barks at everything! he seems to be trying ,but he barks on every
track he finds is this a problem that will past with time?or is this not a
problem at all? trying to keep my two hunten buddys on the right course.
thanks

I dont claim to be a pro., but in my exp. when a young dog cold trails bad, or opens on a track left the night before, it will never come out of it, almost never gets better with age, as a matter of fact most get worse as they age. Sorry.

6 months is WAY TOO EARLY to tell. I have had them bark on rats and give tongue on the trail of the other dogs (and me!) up to about a year old and still make decent rabbit hounds in the end. I WOULD TAKE THEM OUT SEPARATELY if at all possible. The need to learn to honor other packmates but that is hard to teach them when one or both has "extra mouth". Once they settle in more and know what they are doing, you can begin bracing them again. Good luck with them!

I also think 6 mnths. is way to young to judge and say a dog has a habbit to bad to correct.

Sounds as if your dog is SO EXCITED and still young enough to settle in. Your pup is just learning and his brain is trying to teach his nose the proper scent. One good thing is, he is tonguing on scent and that is better than a silent hound, IMO.
