I raise and hunt patch hounds, lemons , tris, and livers. I don't see a difference in them.Color isn't as important to me as ability. I like the lemons ,but I like a good patch hound reguardless color!!

I also breed and hunt patch hounds mine are all lemon except 1 female
and she would be tan and white with a little black. I agree with Randy
about the color I prefer the lemons they are easier to see in the brush
but if they can pound a bunny right I wouldn't care if they were green.

I hunt and trail lemon & white patch hounds. The color doesn't matter much. We also have a couple that are all white(almost a couple small spots). Where in WV do you live.

Southern WV....below Charleston. I just bought 2 females and will pick them up Sunday from a fellow in KY. Color don't matter much here either, but the wife wants L & W Patch beagles. I have had a few over the years and really liked them.
Hey you picked the color of your truck because you liked the color didn't you?

Frank Thompson lives in West Virginia, I Think it is Cameron , WV. He doesn't have anything breed right now but is planning to breed Angel and Blue again in the future. I have one from that cross and my name is on the list for one from the next litter. I have a liver and white and a lemon and white patch . I like a lot of white on my hounds makes them easier to see and they seem to take the heat better. I really don't care if they or UT Orange if they are build right and can run a rabbit, but for some odd reason my better hounds have just happen to have been lemon colored. Check my to out on my web site , they are in beagle photos, here is the link, but I need to update.
