Advice on bloodlines

I was wondering if anyone had any sugestions or coments on which bloodline would be best to get a lot of hunt & brains, with good line control.

I would prefer a smaller size dog w/ a bluetick coat but the cosmetics arn't quite as important. Any input or sugestions would be more than appreciated.
Thank you,
Phil

IMO from what you described, the Bramlett line of hounds may suit you all except the color is mainly black and tan.

Here is my two cents buddy. I am having pretty good luck with a couple of young Patch hounds I got from Plowboy. They were tri-colored but I think he has mostly lemon and white. I had never heard of the Patch hounds until I started trying to find a decent running gundog (with no success). I was hunting for a med. fast dog that wasn't afraid to bust briars to jump its own rabbit and that could bring it back to the gun without losing the track. I had one fellow suggest for me to try a Patch hound. I finally located Plowboy who had a couple he was willing to part with. I don't know if he has more but I would highly recommend his line of dogs. The other thing that impressed me was his dogs done exactly what he told me they would do.
