To start out with im originally from Blue mtn lake NY transplanted to Suffolk Virginia, have been living in Va. for about ten years now and love it. I have always had beagles for rabbit hunting, got my fist one when I was 14 and never stopped having them around what a wonderful dog they are. Right now a friend and I have about 30 beagles and walkers that we use to hunt deer with in Virginia (Yes i know what you all are going to say). I love to hear the dogs chasing one, there is no better feeling then to hear a pack of dogs baying on a trail. I have one female (with some great lines in her) that i use for rabbit hunting right now, but I will be retiring from the Navy in about 2 years and want to get into the field trailing aspect of it. I will be putting in a kennel when I return from the other side of the world as, im on a ship out to sea right now (The USS Nassau LHA-4). I have the kennels sitting in my garage right now and all I have to do is get home to put them up. So Im trying to get any and all information I can about trialing or any topic that is pertaining to field trialiers. Would also like to get Dates of trials after the first of May just about anywhere in the east coast. I Have subscribed to just about every magazine about it I can but, they all are being sent to my house in Va. If you would like you can e-mail me at thompsong@nassau.navy.mil or can just leave information here but sometimes I cant get to them here. Thank you all for your help.

Hey Dogrunner, you should get with NYHILLBILLY about moving from NY to a southern state.

Dogrunner,
Thanks for the input. Be careful out there on the water. I'll be sure to include you in my prayers and I wish you a speedy, safe return.
Peace,
NYH
