Steve, I have owned two out of blue boy. The first was 12 1/2 in blue tick female. Started easy for me at 4 months. Very determined. Tight with mouth, average nose. Good at working out checks the others gave up on. Lacked a little foot for me, true medium speed. Sold her to hunter who really likes her. Not concerned what the rest of the pack is doing. Doesnt speed up or slow down for pack mates(independent). Thin build, leggy, cat feet. Good looks for a blue tick. Excellent disposition, the kids favorite at the time! She's 3-4 y/o now.....

The second was 16" male with very long thin legs. This dog is owned by a hunter due to size. Medium fast but will run as fast as anything, built like gray hound. Keen chop mouth, good hunt, excellent handling for big male. Shortest ears I have ever seen on beagle. Not a pretty dog, but I couldnt fault him much in the field. Would have kept him if smaller.

Hope this helps....dave

I have an 8 mnth old male out of blue boy was crossed with a branko/striker female. He started early and runs well. He is very independent, he packs but he finds the line and doesn't just hark in. He has alot of foot and a ton of hunt and he really smokes hare. My brother has a litter mate, she started a little later and is alittle shy but seems she'll be a good and has the same traits as my male.

DJC are you from NY.

Was wondering if the dam on your Pups is K-cee's L-Series Albany Girl? That would make them litter mates to the Maggie pup above.

Ed,

Albany Girl X Blue Boy
Both male and female will be over 13. Male is already over 13 propably will end up at about 14" unless something changes. Female will probably end up about the same maybe 1/4" less. Both male and female are very bulky big hips, chests, necks and heads.

Dan,

I know when you were here at the house "L" (Albany Girl) was not much to look at with just having the pups and all, but you should see her now. The two that I kept are still here, one being the body style you described and the female is long lean and built for speed. If Blueboy is gonna be up for public stud I may go back to him.

There was another man who posted, but hit the wrong button and posted to the forum and not the thread.
Paul Thayer wrote:I have a male dog out of blue boy and a turbo female that I really like. He will be two in August. He's an extremely intelligent hound with a ton of heart. I got him about one year ago and started him. He started quickly and has progressed well since that time. He has good search, foot, line control, handles great, and has a great disposition. When I'm ready to go I let him out of his kennel and he loads himself. I know of a couple of other dogs in my area of KY that are out of blue boy and both are LP RC. As you can see I'm very pleased with my male and hope that he continues to mature into the nice hound that he is currently making out to be.
I have seen pups out of this cross also if the turbo female he is speaking of is Margaritaville's Last Chance. I was so impressed with the pups her and Blueboy thru that I bought her. And what a deal she was. One of the few times that I was impressed with talent straight out of the box. A true rabbit dog.

i have a litter mate to these pups myself. he is very impressive but unless he cleans up never make it in progressive pack which the dog means more to me then progressive pack. he will never leave my kennel. this pup is like the rest good hunt already running and circling his own rabbit. just not as clean as i would like but he is still young. solo solo solo

ed, i think i must have the 13 inch male out of the litter he is built like a brick sh-- house he just is not going up.

good cross ed thanks james wright
